Business Policies

Returns

All returns must be accompanied by a copy of the original Boston Gems invoice.

Refunds will not be given on any items which have been altered or damaged in any way.

There will be no refunds on merchandise returned 30 days after invoice date.

No refunds will be given on stones that have been set.

All returns must have prior written approval from Boston Gems.

All return shipments must be insured for the complete value of the package when being shipped back to Boston Gems’ office.

Terms

Until such time as credit is established, goods sold will be handled on a COD basis.

To establish a house account, please provide Boston Gems with the following:

Names, addresses, phone numbers, and/or email addresses of three trade references, and the name and address of your bank.

Your JBT rating/listing.

A copy of your state resale, business license, certificate of incorporation or other state/federal document is required to purchase gemstones wholesale from Boston Gems.

Please note that there is a 1.5% monthly or 18% annual finance charge on all past due accounts.

Prices

We have done our utmost to assure prices listed are accurate. However, as market conditions change, we reserve the right to adjust our prices accordingly and without notice.

Boston Gems is a wholesale gemstone company. Our loose stones are offered at wholesale prices to legitimate members of the jewelry trade only.

All prices quoted are wholesale.

Privacy and Security

Boston Gems understands and honors the importance of privacy and takes great care in protecting our customer’s data. Our privacy policy is simple. We will not sell or otherwise pass on personal private information to any other company, institute or person.

This website has installed by SSL for your protection.

Shipping

Boston Gems has a long and trusted relationship with Federal Express. Other methods of shipping, however, are available including UPS and USPS registered mail.

Boston Gems will include a shipping charge on all packages shipped.

Memorandum / Consignment

As per our consignment agreement please note our business policies listed below.

Boston Gems has instituted some precautionary policies and procedures for all memorandum requests.

Boston Gems has the right to fill UCC’s with the state on any long term memo requests. This will ensure Boston Gems has a secured interest in their personal merchandise is it returned securely in the event of potential loss.

Before any merchandise will be sent on memo/consignment we require the receiving company (consignee) to sign and return a Boston Gem Consignment Agreement. This signed agreement will be kept on file at Boston Gem office. All consignment merchandise will remain the sole property of Boston Gems until it is invoiced.

As with a regular sale, all consignees are required to establish an account with Boston Gems. This information must be sent to Boston Gems before merchandise will be shipped/turned over.

Consignee will be held responsible for any breakage, destruction, or loss of merchandise while it is in their care and until it is safely back at Boston Gems. If requested, consignee will provide proof of jewelers block insurance.

Consignee will assume all responsibility for shipping costs, insurance and handling to return any merchandise not purchased.

Unless otherwise specified, all memos will be invoiced fourteen (14) days from shipment of goods. Balance on the invoice will be due within thirty (30) days unless other arrangements have been previously made in writing with Boston Gems.

All consignees are required to notify Boston Gems in writing of any change of business address, personal domicile or business name, whichever is consignee’s place of business.
